Dozens of dedicated aspiring teachers have officially embarked on their careers after successfully completing a rigorous two-year training programme with the Futura Learning Partnership.

The graduation ceremony, held at Clevedon School, honoured the latest participants of the trust’s Early Career Teachers (ECT) programme. Mentors, headteachers, and senior leaders from schools throughout Somerset and Bristol gathered to celebrate the hard work, growth, and achievements of this outstanding new cohort.

These newly qualified teachers come from a diverse range of schools, from primary institutions such as Bridge Farm, Chestnut Park, and The Meadows, to secondary schools including Bedminster Down, Wellsway, and Clevedon School.

Reflecting on her experience, Anna Percival, an ECT at Bedminster Down School, shared: “The training and guidance I have received over the last two years have transformed my teaching practice completely. I am immensely grateful to my mentor Rebecca Beasley-Suffolk and ECT lead Claire Hobbs for their unwavering support.”

Similarly, Hannah Evans of SBL Academy praised the programme: “Thanks to my excellent mentor and the clear, accessible learning materials, my ECT induction was both enjoyable and incredibly productive.”

Viv Wadsley, who oversees the ECT programme, commended the commitment and potential of the new teachers. “It has been a privilege to support these brilliant individuals on their journey into the profession,” she said. “This celebration is more than a graduation — it’s a declaration that the future of education is guided by passionate, capable, and inspiring educators.”

The Futura Learning Partnership oversees 26 schools—20 primary and six secondary—throughout the South West, nurturing talent and fostering excellence in education.
