Clarks Village is eagerly preparing to welcome back its wildly popular Pawsome Pooch event this September, promising an ulti-mutt weekend filled with fun for dogs and their families. The dog-friendly festival will take place on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, at the Somerset shopping outlet, inviting pooches of all breeds to join in the festivities.
Among the highlights this year is the search for Clarks Village’s next CEO – the Canine Executive Officer. The competition’s top dog judges will be on the lookout for the perfect pup to lead the centre’s doggy activities and serve as its furry ambassador. The winner will enjoy full wagging rights and a prize package worth £500, including shopping vouchers.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of free activities such as pet photo shoots, pooch pampering sessions, dazzling dog trick demonstrations, interactive agility courses, and live paw-trait drawing. Every dog participating in the photo shoot will receive a complimentary digital portrait.

The prestigious CEO competition promises excitement, with professional photos taken of all dogs attending. The ten most adorable pooches will be put forward for a public vote to determine the ultimate top dog.
Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, shared his enthusiasm: “Pawsome Pooch has become an incredibly popular event, and we’re thrilled to bring it back this year. It’s the perfect weekend for dog owners to enjoy new activities, make new friends, and take part in our photo shoot and CEO competition. We’re also grateful to Dudley and his wonderful family, our very first Canine Executive Officer, who has been a beloved part of Clarks Village.”
Dudley, a three-legged Hungarian Vizsla and last year’s winner, has become a local celebrity and a familiar face at the shopping centre. The new CEO will follow in his paw-steps, continuing the proud tradition of canine leadership at Clarks Village.
Now in its third year, Pawsome Pooch cements Clarks Village’s reputation as the UK’s most dog-friendly shopping centre, a title it proudly holds from the DogFriendly Awards.
