Clarks Village in Somerset is transforming its gardens into an arena of sporting excitement with a vibrant Summer of Sport celebration featuring interactive zones dedicated to football, tennis, and Formula 1 racing.
Kicking off with football, visitors can enjoy a giant inflatable football goal and a high-tech touch wall courtesy of Pro Direct. Every weekend leading up to the World Cup final, fans can showcase their skills by scoring a goal to earn a spin on the ‘Spin to Win’ wheel. Exciting prizes include Pro Direct gift vouchers, footballs, and exclusive store discounts.
The football festivities don’t stop there. Try ‘Subsoccer’ – a lively game where two players face off in competitive bench football – or capture memories at the life-sized football selfie cut-out, perfect for commemorating the event. These football activities run every Saturday and Sunday until 19th July, with extra daily events available.

For tennis fans, from 29th June to 12th July, Clarks Village offers a comfortable viewing lounge featuring mini televisions screening live Wimbledon matches. Enhancing this quintessential tennis experience, British homeware brand Christy will provide strawberries and cream outside its new store and display its official Wimbledon collection, including Championship towels and elegant robes.
Guests can participate in a daily treasure hunt, searching for one of ten hidden tennis balls to win a gift from the Christy store. On 4th and 11th July, Christy will also serve branded gelato ice creams between 12 pm and 5 pm, adding a sweet touch to the festivities.
August brings the adrenaline rush of Lightning Loop, a mini race-track on the Shoemakers Museum lawn. Children aged 4 to 10 can pilot bright orange, interactive Formula 1-style cars around an inflatable circuit featuring a starting grid, finish line, chequered flag, winners’ podium, and a giant trophy photo opportunity. The color pays homage to local F1 star Lando Norris, a two-time World Champion, who is celebrated with a dedicated ‘Lando Lane’ walkway at Clarks Village.
Tickets for Lightning Loop are £8, with a discounted rate of £6 for PLUS+ members, the outlet’s free loyalty program.
