Christmas is fast approaching, and Clarks Village in Somerset is ready to spread festive cheer with the return of its much-loved ice rink. For the fourth consecutive year, the 550-square-metre undercover ice rink will open its doors on Tuesday, November 11, offering over seven weeks of winter fun and enchantment.
Expertly designed and installed by Icescape, the custom-built rink features real ice and is thoughtfully located on the lawn adjacent to the Alfred Gillet Trust’s Shoemakers Museum. Visitors can access the rink directly from the outlet’s Restaurant Terrace via a dedicated entrance.
Accessibility is a priority, with the rink being wheelchair-friendly and packed with exciting events and offers throughout the season. Highlights include themed skating nights, lively Friday Disco Nights, 2-for-1 skating deals, as well as special Quiet and Parent & Toddler sessions accommodating pushchairs. The rink is also available for private bookings, making it perfect for festive parties and gatherings.

Rain or shine, skaters can enjoy the rink during the Christmas period, which remains open through Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day until Sunday, January 4. Sessions are 45 minutes long, pre-bookable, and include skate hire.
Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled to bring back the ice rink for a fourth year—it’s become a cornerstone of our holiday festivities. Whether visitors come to skate or to enjoy a full day of shopping and dining, this year’s events promise to be more special than ever with new themed nights designed to make every visit unforgettable. The ice rink truly adds an extra touch of magic to Clarks Village at Christmas.”
After skating, guests can warm up and refuel at one of the village’s many eateries or browse over 90 premium and high street brands offering up to 60% off RRP—ideal for finding the perfect Christmas gifts.
Tickets start at £13.50 for children aged 12 and under, £15.50 for adults, and £50 for family packages. Early bird discounts of 20% are available for bookings made before midnight on November 10, excluding 2-for-1 sessions. Don’t miss your chance to experience this festive highlight!
