This summer, Clarks Village in Somerset is transforming its scenic gardens into a vibrant celebration of sport, featuring three exciting interactive zones inspired by the World Cup, Wimbledon, and Formula 1.
Football fans can dive into the action with a giant inflatable football goal and touch wall from Pro Direct. Every weekend until the World Cup final, visitors can test their skills by scoring goals to earn spins on a prize wheel offering Pro Direct gift vouchers, footballs, and exclusive in-store discounts. Adding to the football festivities are ‘Subsoccer’ bench football stations, where players face off in competitive seated matches, and a life-sized football selfie cut-out perfect for snapping memorable photos. These football activities run on Saturdays and Sundays until July 19, with additional games available daily.
Tennis lovers can relax in style from June 29 to July 12 at a dedicated Wimbledon lounge featuring comfy loungers equipped with mini built-in televisions streaming live matches. British homeware brand Christy enhances the experience by offering strawberries and cream outside its new store, alongside showcasing its official Wimbledon collection, including Championship towels and elegant robes. Guests can also join a daily treasure hunt to find hidden tennis balls and win gifts at the Christy store. On July 4 and 11, enjoy branded ice creams from Christy’s gelato cart between 12 pm and 5 pm.

Looking ahead to August, children aged 4 to 10 can race into fun with the Lightning Loop mini race-track on the Shoemakers Museum lawn. This interactive F1-inspired track features bright orange mini race cars celebrating local Formula 1 champion Lando Norris, complemented by a starting grid, finish line, winners podium, and a giant trophy photo spot. Tickets cost £8, with a discounted rate of £6 for PLUS+ members, Clarks Village’s free rewards program. This tribute is part of the ongoing celebration, including ‘Lando Lane,’ a pedestrian avenue named in honor of Norris’s championship victory.
Mike Jones, Centre Director of Clarks Village, said, “We’re thrilled to bring the exhilarating atmosphere of the World Cup, Wimbledon, and Formula 1 to life right here. Our beautifully landscaped gardens set the perfect scene to enjoy football games, unwind with tennis matches, and experience our new racing car attraction, making it a summer to remember.”
