A child was left bruised and shaken after an assault near a convenience store on Ebdon Road, Weston-super-Mare. The incident occurred at approximately 6pm on Wednesday, April 8, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The victim sustained bruises to the face, back, arms, and shoulders but did not require hospital treatment. Police confirmed that the child has been supported and remains in contact with officers and family services.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of affray and attempted wounding with intent. He was subsequently released on conditional bail while investigations continue.
