The project is set to begin on 12 October 2026 and is expected to conclude by 5 November 2026. However, the legal order permitting the closures will remain active for up to 18 months to accommodate any unforeseen delays.
The affected area is near the DT9 6NX postcode. During the closure period, a locally signed diversion will redirect traffic around the affected roads. Motorists are advised to follow on-street signage carefully, allow extra time for their journeys, and exercise caution, particularly when travelling through nearby residential lanes.
