Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club is once again proud to host the annual Musgrove Cup, a charity golf tournament dedicated to supporting the League of Friends of Musgrove Park Hospital. The event provides essential funding for equipment that enhances patient care at the hospital.
Last year’s Musgrove Cup drew 52 pairs of golfers and raised £1,800, which contributed to the purchase of a specialist operating table used for advanced robotic surgeries at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Clinton Rogers, President of the League of Friends, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the golf club: “We are incredibly thankful to Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club for hosting this event once again. It consistently generates significant funds that directly benefit patient care at Musgrove.”

The upcoming tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 12th, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Entries will close on August 29th. The entry fee is £25 for club members and £43 for non-members.
“We are encouraging as many golfers as possible to take part,” Clinton added. “The Musgrove Cup is a highlight on our calendar and plays a crucial role in fundraising, especially as raising funds becomes increasingly challenging.”
The competition welcomes both men and women, with maximum playing handicaps of 28 for men and 36 for women. Entry fees include a one-course meal following the game and opportunities for spot prizes.
A spokesperson from Taunton and Pickeridge said, “Hosting the Musgrove Cup for 11 years has been a privilege. This Fourball Betterball mixed event is popular in the Taunton area and has helped support a hospital that touches so many lives. We look forward to seeing golfers come forward, enjoy the day, and contribute to this worthy cause.”
