The National Trust’s commemoration of the centenary not only celebrates the estate’s history but also presents the tale of its originators, showcasing their transformation of a barren coastal valley into the Arts and Crafts country retreat seen today.
In addition to its rich history, Coleton Fishacre has evolved from a private residence to a cherished attraction, drawing over 1.5 million visits since opening to the public in 1999 under the National Trust’s custodianship. The estate’s conservation, facilitated through the Neptune Coastline Campaign, has contributed to preserving UK coastal heritage and natural areas.
