CCTV Appeal Launched After Car Stolen in Bridgwater Burglary

Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying two individuals captured on CCTV in connection with a burglary in Bridgwater.

In the early morning of Wednesday, January 7, at around 6:20 am, a house on Teasel Path was broken into. The burglars stole car keys along with a blue Skoda Octavia. Additionally, a purse containing cash, bank cards, and a driving license was taken.

The suspects, believed to be young men, were seen wearing black balaclavas and light-coloured tracksuits. Beyond this, no further descriptions have been confirmed.

Authorities have conducted CCTV reviews and house-to-house inquiries and are maintaining communication with the victim.

PC Alice Rimes-Bowen, the investigating officer, commented: “We are aware of social media reports of attempts on door handles in the Wilstock area. We urge residents to report such incidents so we can assess the full extent of the problem.

“Burglaries not only bring financial and sentimental loss but can also have serious psychological impacts on victims.

“We appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, has information, or possesses dashcam or doorbell footage from before or after the event to come forward.”
