CCTV Appeal After Car Stolen in Bridgwater Burglary

Police are urging the public to assist in identifying two individuals linked to a burglary in Bridgwater.

On Wednesday, January 7, at approximately 6:20 am, a house on Teasel Path was broken into. The burglars stole a purse, cash, bank cards, a driving license, and the keys to a blue Skoda Octavia, which they then took.

The suspects, believed to be young men, were captured on CCTV wearing black balaclavas and light-colored tracksuits. Further descriptions have yet to be determined.

Authorities have conducted CCTV reviews and door-to-door inquiries, maintaining contact with the victim throughout the investigation.

PC Alice Rimes-Bowen, the investigating officer, commented: “We are aware of social media reports about attempted break-ins in the Wilstock area involving door handles. We urge residents to report any such activity so we can assess the scope of these incidents.

“We understand the profound impact burglaries can have beyond the financial loss, including emotional and psychological effects.

“We appeal to anyone with information, witnesses, or those with dashcam or doorbell footage around the time of the incident to come forward immediately.”
