Cars Vandalized with Sledgehammer in Bath: Man Arrested

Several vehicles were vandalized with a sledgehammer in Bath on the evening of Saturday, January 3, prompting a police investigation and an appeal for witnesses.

Avon and Somerset Police responded to reports of car damage occurring between 7 pm and 11 pm in the Bear Flat and Twerton neighborhoods. Officers quickly attended the scenes and arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of criminal damage. Although he has been released under investigation, inquiries into the incident continue.

The police have reviewed CCTV footage and conducted house-to-house inquiries in the affected areas. They are now asking anyone who witnessed the attacks or has relevant footage to come forward. Additionally, vehicle owners who suffered damage that night but have not yet spoken with officers are urged to make contact.
