A blue Vauxhall Corsa was severely damaged in a suspected arson attack in Bath on Monday, October 6. The vehicle, parked on The Oval, was set on fire between 10pm and 10:30pm after a window was forcibly opened and an accelerant was used to ignite the blaze.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the fire caused substantial damage and is being treated as a deliberate act. Firefighters quickly responded to extinguish the flames, but the car was left badly destroyed.
Increased patrols, door-to-door inquiries, and CCTV investigations are underway as police appeal for witnesses.
