Butlin’s Minehead is celebrating one year of unparalleled family fun with the anniversary of SKYPARK, its groundbreaking £2.5 million playground. Since opening in late July 2024, SKYPARK has welcomed over 140,000 children of all abilities to experience its innovative, inclusive, and interactive play zones.
The attraction features six vibrant zones designed to inspire joy and promote positive emotions. Standout elements include a towering 10-metre climbing structure, the UK’s longest swing line stretching 42 metres, wheelchair-accessible ramps, trampolines, and the tranquil Sound Domo with 18 calming audio tracks. These features make SKYPARK a truly unique destination where children can climb, swing, and relax in a safe, welcoming environment.
Butlin’s Minehead has seen over 90,000 day visitors since SKYPARK’s launch, with access included in all family breaks and day passes. Current summer ticket offers start from £19 for adults and £12 for children.

Beyond SKYPARK, families can enjoy a wide range of entertainment options, including Splash Waterworld swim sessions, traditional fairground rides, and live shows in the Skyline Pavilion. Highlights of this summer’s lineup include performances by Peppa Pig, the Extreme Mountain Bike Show, and headline acts such as Stephen Mulhern and The Masked Singer Live. Original productions like the pantomime “Snow White and Her Magnificent Friends” and the musical showcase “Iconic” promise unforgettable experiences for all ages.
Craig Goodwin, resort director at Butlin’s Minehead, expressed pride in SKYPARK’s success: “We’re thrilled to mark one year since the opening of SKYPARK. It has added a real wow factor and reinforces why we are the Home of Entertainment. The positive feedback from guests and the joy on families’ faces keeps motivating our team.”
He continued, “There’s nowhere else like SKYPARK—with a 10-metre climbing tower, the UK’s longest swing line, and wheelchair-accessible equipment all integrated alongside world-class entertainment."
