Adam Parsons, 21, of Cornhill in Wellington, has been sentenced to over eight months in prison following a series of break-ins and criminal acts. Parsons pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, possession of a bladed article, and criminal damage at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
On June 28, Parsons unlawfully entered two gardens in the Oakfield Park and Wellesley Park areas. At one location, he broke into a shed and stole tools and gardening equipment. At the second property, Parsons vandalized a house and car by throwing paint, which startled the homeowner awake around 5 a.m.
When the homeowner confronted Parsons during the theft, Parsons threatened him with a knife before fleeing the scene through neighbouring gardens. Police arrived shortly after and recovered the stolen items nearby.
