Construction materials leader Breedon has expanded its footprint in the South West by acquiring Tor Multimix, a family-run business rooted in Somerset since 2004. Founded in Glastonbury, Tor Multimix is well-known for supplying concrete, aggregates, screed, and other essential construction materials across the region.
This acquisition allows Tor Multimix to leverage Breedon’s extensive national logistics and resources while preserving its local identity and operational approach. Steve Rowland, sales and operations manager at Tor Multimix, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting, “Joining the Breedon family connects us with one of the industry’s most trusted names. Our customers will continue to receive the same dedicated service and high-quality products they expect, now backed by greater resources, enhanced logistics, and long-term stability—all while retaining our local roots.”
Breedon confirmed that no immediate operational changes are planned for Tor Multimix, ensuring continuity for customers and employees alike. The company highlighted that the acquisition will foster support for regional construction projects, create growth opportunities, and broaden its offerings within the South West.
