Braintree ended their two-match losing streak in the National League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory away at Yeovil Town, thanks to a decisive goal from Sahid Kamara.
The match began with chances at both ends. Yeovil’s Josh Sims came close to an early breakthrough when his curling shot from just inside the box rattled the crossbar. Braintree responded with a golden opportunity of their own as Fletcher Hubbard set up Lewis Walker, whose shot narrowly sailed over the bar. Yeovil goalkeeper Mason Terry then made a crucial save to deny Sims a second goal.
In the second half, the intensity continued with Hubbard’s corner leading to chaos in Yeovil’s penalty area, but Tommy Smith was unable to capitalize. Yeovil’s best opportunity fell to Ben Wodskou, whose effort went just wide of the target.

The breakthrough came 13 minutes from time when Marley Marshall-Miranda delivered a perfectly weighted ball over the top to Kamara. The forward controlled the pass expertly before placing a precise shot beyond the reach of Yeovil’s goalkeeper Jed Ward, securing the win for Braintree.
