In the early hours of Monday, October 6, search and rescue teams discovered the body of a man near Langford Budville, close to Wellington in Somerset. The discovery was made at approximately 1:10 a.m. by the Exmoor Search and Rescue team while assisting Avon and Somerset Police in an ongoing investigation.
Authorities have confirmed that the family of the missing man has been informed. Police have indicated that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police stated, “The body was found by Exmoor Search and Rescue near Langford Budville while supporting a police investigation. There are no suspected suspicious circumstances at this time.”

Exmoor Search and Rescue shared, “Our team was called just before midnight to assist in locating a missing person east of Wellington. Four foot teams methodically searched nearby woods and fields and found the individual shortly after. Our thoughts are with the family and friends during this difficult time.”
