An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson stated: “On Sunday 26 April, a body was recovered from the water in the River Parrett, near Bridgwater, during enquiries to locate a woman who had been reported missing earlier in the day. While formal identification has not yet been completed, the woman’s family have been informed by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. Her death is being treated as non-suspicious.”
