BMW Crashes into Building at Cheddar Gorge, Woman Hospitalized

A BMW was completely written off after it crashed into a building at Cheddar Gorge on the evening of Tuesday, August 26. The vehicle collided with the wall of a property on Cliff Road around 10 pm, causing extensive structural damage.

While the driver escaped unharmed, a female passenger was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Due to the severity of the damage, a structural engineer was called in to assess the safety of the affected building.

Eyewitnesses noted the significant impact, with one commenting on the strength of the three-foot-thick wall and the major damage sustained. The crash represents yet another collision in the Gorge this year.
