A man in his 60s sustained multiple injuries following a collision with a flatbed lorry on the A37 near Lydford-on-Fosse, in Somerton, Somerset. The incident occurred shortly before 4pm on Monday, 10 August.
The rider, travelling on a Honda NT1100 towards Shepton Mallet, suffered facial injuries and a fractured wrist as a result of the crash, according to Avon and Somerset Police. He was promptly taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged and is continuing his recovery at home.
The driver of the white flatbed lorry stopped at the scene and had a brief conversation with the injured motorcyclist but left before exchanging contact details.

Police are appealing for the driver of the lorry, along with any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the collision, to come forward to assist with their enquiries. Those with information are asked to call 101, quoting reference number 5226224899, or complete an appeal form online.
