A tragic accident on the B3148 Rimpton Hill near Yeovil has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a BMW vehicle.
Emergency services responded to the crash shortly before 3pm on April 26. The incident involved a Honda motorcycle and a black BMW 520d. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the motorcyclist, a woman in her 60s, died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from a specially trained family liaison officer. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time.

Preliminary reports indicate the motorcyclist was travelling towards the Dorset border, while the BMW was heading in the opposite direction towards Marston Magna. The occupants of the BMW stayed at the scene and are cooperating with police investigations.
