A tragic accident occurred on the B3148 Rimpton Hill near Yeovil, Somerset, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The collision, involving a Honda motorcycle and a black BMW 520d, took place shortly before 3pm on April 26.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the motorcyclist, a woman in her 60s, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from a specially trained family liaison officer. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling toward the Dorset border when the crash happened, while the BMW was headed in the direction of Marston Magna. The occupants of the BMW stayed at the scene to assist with the police investigation.
