A tragic motorcycle accident involving a Land Rover and a Volkswagen ID.3 in Collingbourne Ducis has claimed the life of a man in his 40s, Wiltshire Police confirmed.
The collision occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on April 19 along the A346. Emergency responders, including officers and paramedics, arrived promptly at the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, the road was closed for several hours during the police investigation.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to Southampton Hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly passed away over the weekend. Authorities are appealing for witnesses, especially anyone traveling from the unnamed road leading onto the A346 past The Shears Inn around the time of the crash.

Police are particularly eager to speak with the driver of a blue Audi A1, who may have vital information regarding the incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson stated, “Our thoughts are with the man’s family, who are being supported by specialist trained officers during this difficult time.”
