‘Best Performance Yet’ - Bath Rugby Player Ratings After Crushing Win Over Harlequins

Bath Rugby delivered a dominant performance against Harlequins at a packed Recreation Ground, securing a convincing 48-15 win. The hosts ran in eight tries, at one point narrowing the gap to league leaders Northampton to just a single point.

The game’s first try came from Santi Carreras, who intercepted the ball just outside his own 22 and sprinted the length of the pitch with no one able to catch him. Although Bryn Bradley responded for Harlequins, a missed conversion from Marcus Smith helped Bath maintain their lead.

Tom Carr-Smith extended Bath’s advantage with a slick finish following an impressive offload from Ollie Lawrence. Carreras struck again just before halftime, benefitting from a clever offload from Finn Russell to secure his second try.

Ewan Richards scored after Alfie Barbeary drew defenders away with a clever run, allowing an unmarked Richards to touch down easily. Josh Bayliss made an instant impact, bulldozing through defenders on a half-pitch dash to score.

Guy Pepper found space out wide to add another try after receiving a pinpoint pass from Ollie Lawrence, marking Bath’s 150th try across all competitions this season. The final try of the match was sealed by Bernard van der Linde, who slipped through a gap in the Harlequins defense in the dying moments.
