Best Friends Launch Chai & Chutney: Authentic Indian Flavors with 25% Off Opening Weekend

Two best friends and business partners, Imran (23) and Ahmed (24), have brought their dream to life with the opening of Chai & Chutney, a new Indian restaurant in Bath’s Twerton High Street. Opening its doors on Saturday, September 13, the eatery promises authentic, fresh, and flavorful Indian cuisine at affordable prices.

Chai & Chutney’s menu offers a variety of main courses all priced under £8, including wraps, rice bowls, salad bowls, and Paratha bowls. Guests can enhance their meals with a selection of eight traditional chutneys, such as mint and mango, bringing vibrant taste combinations to every dish.

True to its name, the restaurant features an array of hot chai teas like karak chai, ginger chai, and saffron chai, alongside unique drinks including sweet rose milk and a creamy mango lassi made from yogurt. For dessert lovers, authentic Indian treats such as rasmalai milk cake and maska buns are also available.

Imran and Ahmed’s journey began as university students at the University of Bath, where their shared love of cooking turned into a passion as they made home-cooked Indian meals together. From running a popular stall at Bristol’s St Nicholas Market to finally securing their own brick-and-mortar location in Twerton, the pair is excited to bring their vision to the local community.

Chai & Chutney will open with a cozy seating area for 14 guests, with plans to expand into delivery services across Bath in the future. The restaurant will operate seven days a week, from noon to 9 pm.

Don’t miss the grand opening celebration at 107 High Street, Twerton, where visitors can enjoy 25% off their orders throughout the opening weekend.
