Victoria Wheatley, a devoted mother to three young children, tragically passed away after a major brain bleed left her with catastrophic complications. The 38-year-old mum of Connie (10), Sorrel (7), and Bertie (1) was taken off life support 11 days after being rushed to hospital.
Victoria’s partner, Barry, called emergency services on January 26 when she began vomiting, became weak, struggled to stand, and appeared confused. At Yeovil Hospital, a CT scan revealed a significant brain bleed. She was then transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where surgeons inserted a drain to relieve pressure on her brain and placed her in an induced coma.
Though Victoria briefly regained consciousness, greeting her father Simon with a heartfelt “Hi dad,” she later suffered brain spasms that left her unable to speak, walk, or perform basic functions. Doctors informed the family that her quality of life would be severely compromised.

Faced with an unimaginable decision, Victoria’s family chose to remove her from life support. Her brother James described her as brave, intelligent, and kind-hearted—someone who deeply connected with her family. Their father Simon fondly recalled joyful moments from Victoria’s childhood, including a tender memory of her seeking warmth while asleep in a horse box.
In support of the family, a close friend named Sammie organized a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses. At the time of this report, over £1,200 has been raised to help ease their burden during this difficult time.
