Bath’s Flower and Ice Cream Shop Closes But Plans to Relocate

Flower and Scoop, a beloved florist and ice cream parlour in Bath’s Oldfield Park, has closed its doors as of October 22nd, ahead of the previously announced October 31st date. Though locals will miss the unique combination of fresh flowers, baked goods, coffee, and ice cream, the good news is that the business will be relocating to Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

Founded earlier this year by lifelong friends Alison Rowley and Mandy Brown, Flower and Scoop quickly became a community favourite. They earned a stellar five-star rating on Google from 21 reviews, praised for exceptional customer service, quality products, and a welcoming atmosphere. One loyal customer wrote, “Unreal place for a quick eat in Bath! Coffee and sausage roll was great.” Another shared a heartfelt story about how the shop provided beautiful funeral arrangements during a difficult time.

Beyond serving customers, the shop played a vital role in supporting local talent, taking on an 18-year-old floristry apprentice and offering work experience to a nearby teenager. They also found a meaningful niche in funeral flowers, offering thoughtful floral tributes to grieving families.

The closure has saddened the community. One customer expressed, “Oh no! I loved your shop, got a beautiful bouquet on Monday. Best of luck in your future ventures.” Another added, “Such a shame to see you go.”

While Flower and Scoop’s time in Oldfield Park has come to an end, their journey is far from over. The owners are excited about their new chapter in Bristol, where they hope to continue bringing joy through flowers, sweets, and more.
