Celebrated for its vibrant local scene, the city was recognised across diverse categories including best afternoon tea, best bar, best beauty salon, best boutique stay, and most loved local pub.
Montagu’s Mews at the Royal Crescent Hotel captured the coveted Best Afternoon Tea award. Lorraine Jarvie, the hotel’s general manager, praised the dedicated pastry team, saying, “Our talented bakers work tirelessly throughout the day to perfect every scone and cake.” She also commended the front of house staff, particularly during busy summer months when they serve up to 100 afternoon teas daily. Looking ahead, Lorraine is excited to welcome guests to enjoy their beloved Wimbledon-themed afternoon teas, alongside their authentic Bath buns prepared using traditional 18th-century recipes.
Just a short stroll away, The Queensberry Hotel earned the title of Best Boutique Stay. General manager Oliver Harris expressed his pride, “Our team’s hard work to deliver exceptional guest experiences truly shines through. Boutique hotels like ours are rare gems, and this recognition affirms what makes us unique.”

In Somerset, Sophie Heath from Clevedon was honoured as Best Fitness Instructor, while Bean Shot Coffee in Bruton earned Best Artisan Food and Drink Producer accolades. Additional finalists hailed from towns including Frome, Taunton, Castle Cary, Shepton Mallet, Cheddar, and Chard, highlighting the region’s rich diversity of outstanding local businesses.
