Bath Rugby faces a challenging period as the team copes with a growing list of injured players. Max Ojomoh and Orlando Bailey are the latest additions to the injury list after sustaining injuries in the recent 26-24 victory over Exeter Chiefs. Ojomoh is sidelined with an ankle injury while Bailey appears to have dislocated a finger. With star center Ollie Lawrence already out following Achilles surgery, the team’s depth will be tested.
The absence of Ojomoh and Bailey is a significant blow, as it was expected that Ojomoh would play a pivotal role in the upcoming matches. Head of rugby Johann van Graan will now heavily rely on Cam Redpath, Will Butt, and young talent Louie Hennessey to fill the void. Additionally, the injury to Bailey, the backup fly-half, puts pressure on the team, with Ciaran Donoghue being the only senior option available to rotate with Finn Russell.
However, there is a silver lining for Bath as they are on the cusp of securing the top spot in the Gallagher Premiership, with a match against bottom-ranked Newcastle Falcons on the horizon.

Providing an update on the squad, van Graan said, “Unfortunately, Jaco Coetzee has suffered a season-ending knee injury. Sam Harris and Ollie Lawrence…have season-ending injuries. Neither Olly, Sam, nor Jaco will be available for the start of next season, so that will be a number of months out for all three of them.”
Despite the setbacks, there are positives for Bath, with new talent like Arthur Green stepping up and making an impact. The team will need to navigate through the challenges posed by the injuries and rely on the depth of the squad.
