Bath Rugby has officially announced the signing of Scottish international prop Jamie Bhatti, who will rejoin the club on a two-year contract starting with the 2026/27 season. Bhatti joins Bath as the replacement for Francois van Wyk, who is set to leave for Connacht.
At 32 years old, Bhatti brings a wealth of experience to the squad. He has earned 36 caps for Scotland since making his international debut against Australia in November 2017. Currently playing for Glasgow Warriors, Bhatti has accumulated 132 appearances across two spells and played a key role in their 2023/24 United Rugby Championship title win over the Bulls.
Bhatti is no stranger to Bath Rugby, having previously served as injury cover in 2020, when he made 11 appearances for the club. Reflecting on his return, Bhatti expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to join Bath Rugby. It’s a club with a proud history, great coaches, and an amazing fan base, so to become part of that is something I’m really excited about.

“Bath has built a strong and successful environment, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that and putting my best foot forward during my time at the club.
“I can’t wait to get started, meet the supporters, and do everything I can to help the team continue moving in the right direction.”
Set to join Bath in the pre-season ahead of 2026-27, Bhatti will strengthen the squad’s front row options.
Bath’s Head of Rugby, Johann van Graan, praised their new signing: “We are very excited for the arrival of Jamie Bhatti. He comes from a winning environment with Test experience and has become a very good ball carrier. His determination to become a better player is evident and we are looking forward to welcoming him into our Bath family.”
