Bath Rugby has officially announced the re-signing of 32-year-old Scottish international prop Jamie Bhatti on a two-year deal, set to begin ahead of the 2026/27 season. Bhatti will be brought in to fill the gap left by Francois van Wyk, who is transferring to Connacht.
Bhatti boasts an impressive international record, having earned 36 caps for Scotland since making his debut against Australia in November 2017. Currently playing for Glasgow Warriors, he has accumulated 132 appearances over two spells with the club. His recent contributions helped Glasgow secure victory in the 2023/24 United Rugby Championship, notably defeating the Bulls in the final.
Bhatti previously had a brief but impactful stint at Bath in 2020 when he joined as injury cover, making 11 appearances for the Gallagher Premiership side in Blue, Black, and White.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Bhatti stated: “I’m incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to join Bath Rugby. It’s a club with a proud history, great coaches, and an amazing fan base, so to become part of that is something I’m really excited about.
“Bath has built a strong and successful environment, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that and putting my best foot forward during my time at the club.
“I can’t wait to get started, meet the supporters, and do everything I can to help the team continue moving in the right direction.”
The loosehead prop will officially join Bath Rugby ahead of the 2026/27 pre-season, bringing experience, skill, and leadership to the squad.
Bath’s head of rugby, Johann van Graan, commented on the signing: “We are very excited for the arrival of Jamie Bhatti.
“He comes from a winning environment with Test experience and has become a very good ball carrier.
“His determination to become a better player is evident and we are looking forward to welcoming him into our Bath family.”
