Bath Rugby continues to prioritize consistency and player development, confirming that four senior academy players will leave the club at the end of the 2025/26 season. Despite investing more in their academy pathway than any other Gallagher Premiership club, Bath will bid farewell to promising talents Harvey Cuckson, Sam Harris, Mikey Summerfield, and Neil le Roux.
Lock Harvey Cuckson, 22, joined Bath in 2022 from Worcester Warriors following their collapse. He has made 10 first-team appearances and spent time on loan at Welsh United Rugby Championship side the Scarlets, where he played five times. Cuckson will now join the Scarlets permanently.
Fly-half Sam Harris, also 22, has battled through a season-long recovery from an ACL injury. The Bath academy graduate has made 14 appearances since his debut in September 2022 against Gloucester and will be moving on to Exeter Chiefs.

South African scrum-half Neil le Roux left the club in April with immediate effect. The 23-year-old recently featured for the Bulls’ U23 side and made 16 appearances for Bath.
Tighthead prop Mikey Summerfield, 23, debuted in September 2023 against Cornish Pirates and earned 11 senior caps before his departure.
Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan paid tribute to the quartet: “Harvey, Sam, Neil, and Mikey have been integral to our group and have played significant roles in our journey over the past several years. We wish them all the best for the next chapter. It’s been a pleasure having them in our circle.”
