Bath City to Appoint New Captain for 2026/27 Season

Bath City has announced that Kieran Parselle will no longer serve as captain for the 2026/27 season, despite signing a new contract to remain with the club. The centre-back, who joined Bath City in 2022, has been a consistent presence on the pitch, making 206 appearances—all as captain—and missing just eight league matches out of 176.

Manager Scott Bartlett explained the decision: “Changing captains is something I do from time to time. It can bring a freshness to a squad. KP and I have a very good relationship, and while he has been an excellent captain for Bath City, he won’t have that role anymore. He remains a vital senior figure and role model to our younger players and supporters. I want to give him the chance to focus more on himself and truly enjoy his football.”

In addition to Parselle’s new contract, versatile forward Owen Windsor has also committed to staying with Bath City. Since making his debut in November 2025, Windsor has scored seven goals in 32 appearances across all competitions. Although he faces a three-match suspension starting the new season, the manager expressed his satisfaction with both players' dedication.

“Both had significant interest from other clubs but showed commitment throughout to stay with us,” Bartlett said. “I’ve spoken with them extensively over the summer about their roles and responsibilities, and I look forward to working with them. Both Kieran and Owen have their best days ahead, and I’m thrilled their futures are with Bath City FC.”
