Bath City have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of striker Harry Parsons from fierce rivals Chippenham Town, marking the club’s second summer acquisition.
Parsons, 23, brings a wealth of experience to Twerton Park after making 105 appearances and scoring 32 goals across three spells with Chippenham Town. Notably, he has a knack for finding the net against Bath City, having scored in key victories including a 3-1 win in December 2022, a crucial 1-0 away goal in April last year, and a penalty in a thrilling 3-2 Boxing Day triumph, Chippenham’s first home win over the Romans in two decades.
Last season, despite sidelined for over two months due to a knee injury, Parsons managed to net ten league goals, showcasing his resilience and scoring ability. His career started at his hometown club, Swindon Town, where he made a memorable substitute appearance in the 2022 FA Cup against Manchester City, featuring top talents like Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva. Following loan spells at Banbury, Farnborough, and Weymouth, Parsons cemented his position at Chippenham two years ago.

Although Chippenham faced relegation last term, Parsons’ impressive goal tally was a bright spot. His arrival at Bath City means stronger competition up front for manager Bartlett’s squad, aiming to boost the team’s firepower.
In other news, defender Ollie Tomlinson has extended his stay with Bath City. The centre-back, who joined initially on loan from Torquay United during Lee Kendall’s interim spell in November 2024, made the move permanent two months later. Despite injury challenges last season, Tomlinson made 34 appearances in all competitions, bringing his total to 63 games for the Romans, with one goal to his name. He joins fellow defenders Joe Raynes, Dan Greenslade, and Jack Batten in committing to the club’s defensive line.
