Bath City will begin their Southern Premier South season with an away match against Sholing on Saturday, 8 August, kicking off at 3pm. This fixture marks the first league meeting between the teams, with their only prior encounter being a 2-0 win for Bath City in the 2019 FA Trophy at Twerton Park.
Under the management of Paul Doswell, the Romans finished just outside the play-offs last season—securing their highest Step 3 league finish in history by placing just one spot and three points shy of the top six. With strong ambitions for 2025/26, Bath City aims to build on last season’s success.
Bath’s first home game follows swiftly, hosting Plymouth Parkway at 7:45pm on Tuesday, 11 August. August closes with a Bank Holiday Monday fixture at Frome Town on the 31st.

Notable local derbies highlight the schedule, with Bath welcoming Chippenham Town on 12 September before heading to their rivals on 28 November. The Boxing Day fixture sees the Romans travel to Yate Town ahead of a New Year home match against Frome Town on 2 January.
Although Bath City will play four fewer league matches than the previous season, a busy schedule is on the horizon due to early cup competition entries. Between 11 August and 10 November, the team faces seven Tuesday night matches, including a much-anticipated Somerset derby against Taunton Town.
The new season runs through to 17 April 2027, ending away at Chertsey Town. Their final home game is scheduled for 10 April against Bracknell Town, a club Bath has only previously met in the FA Trophy.
The league’s play-offs remain a real possibility for the Romans if they finish between second and seventh place. These matches are scheduled to take place between Tuesday, 20 April, and Monday, 4 May.
