Bath City Farm is set to broaden its vital support for young children facing developmental challenges or living in disadvantaged situations, thanks to a £34,000 grant from the Somerset Freemasons' Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF).
The funding will sustain the farm’s “Little Farmers” programme over the next three years, benefiting approximately 90 local children under five who struggle to access mainstream early years education due to health, social, or financial barriers. This initiative creates a safe, inclusive space where children can develop key skills through play, creativity, and physical activities.
A dedicated coordinator will work closely with families, providing guidance and support to help children prepare confidently for school. Applications are now open to families concerned about their child’s development or those with additional needs.

Graham Puddy of Somerset Freemasons commented, “We are proud to support Bath City Farm’s excellent programme, which plays an essential role in helping children and their parents facing various challenges build the skills needed for school readiness in a nurturing environment.”
