Bath City Board Commits Extra Funds to Strengthen Squad in Relegation Battle

Bath City Football Club is making a decisive push to secure its National League South status by injecting additional funds into the squad. With the season nearing its conclusion, the Romans find themselves in a challenging relegation fight.

Currently positioned 21st in the league after a narrow defeat to rivals Farnborough, Bath City sits five points adrift of safety but holds the advantage of two games in hand. Despite Salisbury City’s 19th-place spot appearing safe, the battle to avoid the four relegation spots involves five clubs, with Bath City’s fate hinging on the remaining 12 fixtures.

In a heartfelt message to supporters at Twerton Park, the club’s board acknowledged the collective disappointment over the team’s current standing but assured fans of their unwavering commitment to survival. Recognizing the impact of injuries and availability issues, they have authorized immediate financial backing for manager Darren Way to strengthen the squad.
