As autumn leaves begin to fall, the anticipation for Christmas grows—and with it, the much-loved Bath Christmas Market is returning for 2025. From November 27 to December 14, Bath’s charming city centre will once again be transformed into a festive wonderland.
Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, the market welcomes hundreds of stallholders and community groups to its historic streets. Last year’s market featured 180 chalets hosting over 230 traders, with a remarkable 80% coming from the South West. Impressively, 40% of the 80 first-time traders were local to Bath and surrounding areas, adding to the authentic regional charm.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Bath Christmas Market, promising even more special events and attractions to celebrate this milestone. The festivities don’t end when the market does—the beloved Victorian Carousel will arrive on December 19 at Stall Street and continue to delight visitors until January 5.

Cllr Paul Roper, Cabinet Member for Economic and Cultural Sustainable Development at Bath and North East Somerset Council, praised the market’s success in 2024: “This year’s market has once again been a great success and received excellent feedback from local traders. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this year’s market a triumph.”
Market hours are as follows:
- Monday to Wednesday: 10am – 7pm
- Thursday to Saturday: 10am – 8pm
- Sunday: 10am – 6pm
Visit Bath describes the event as “a magical, festive experience like no other,” with hundreds of twinkling chalets nestled among some of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. Food and drink stalls, glittering light displays, and a vibrant atmosphere make the Bath Christmas Market an essential destination this holiday season.
