A tragic case unfolded in Salisbury as a four-week-old baby boy died after being admitted to Salisbury District Hospital with severe injuries. On September 1, 2022, the infant was brought to the hospital, but despite medical efforts, he passed away on September 9.
Jamie Fulford, 26, of Tournament Road, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 8, charged with murder and causing or allowing the death or harm of a child. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Winchester Crown Court on May 12.
The baby’s mother, Sophie Egerton, 22, also of Tournament Road, faces charges of causing or allowing the death or harm of a child. She appeared in court the same day and was released on unconditional bail. Her next court date is set for June 5 at Winchester Crown Court.
