A blue Audi A4 was vandalised while parked at the popular tourist location Cheddar Gorge in Somerset on the afternoon of Saturday, 22 August.
Avon and Somerset Police reported that the vehicle was covered in what appears to be toothpaste and petroleum jelly. Alongside this, offensive messages were scrawled on the car.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30pm, and police have launched enquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding the vandalism. They have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

In particular, officers are keen to speak with the owner of a red Ford Fiesta that was parked opposite the Audi prior to the incident.

Additionally, information can be provided anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or using their Anonymous Online Form. Crimestoppers emphasise that no personal information is recorded, calls cannot be traced, and individuals will not be required to attend court or speak directly with the police if they choose to remain anonymous.
