Aspire Academy in Bath has received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted for its unwavering commitment to the safety, welfare, and academic success of its pupils. The school caters to students aged four to 19 with diverse complex needs and was commended for fostering enthusiastic and successful learners.
Ofsted noted that the school places a strong emphasis on pupils' special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to tailor the curriculum effectively. Pupils are provided with the necessary support from skilled staff to achieve the school’s aspirations, with individual needs being well met through encouragement, praise, and appropriate challenges.
Furthermore, the report highlighted the school’s focus on integrating pupils into the community, enabling them to explore and understand the significance of community involvement. In addition to academic growth, Aspire Academy ensures that students receive career guidance and work experience, equipping them with crucial life skills for their transition into adulthood.

The inspection recognized significant improvements in pupils' behavior and attendance, attributing this progress to the school’s approach to addressing social and emotional needs within lesson structures. The effective management of behavior has resulted in enhanced self-awareness and communication skills among the students.
While praising the school for its accomplishments, the report also urged the continued enhancement of assessment practices to further bridge learning gaps across the wider curriculum.
