An articulated lorry overturned and crashed into a field after veering off the A371 near Bratton Seymour, Somerset. The incident occurred at approximately 3:13 pm on Monday, September 15. The lorry, including its trailer, left the road, crossed through a hedge, and came to rest on its side in the adjacent field.
Fire crews from Wincanton and Castle Cary stations were promptly dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, the driver was able to exit the vehicle unaided and sustained no injuries.
Photographs from the site show the overturned lorry lying on its side beside the road. Firefighters remained at the location to assist with traffic control and ensure safety while managing the aftermath of the crash.

Wincanton Fire Station reported: “We responded to a road traffic collision involving a large articulated lorry that had left the A371 and overturned in a field. Upon arrival, the driver was already safely out of the vehicle and unharmed. Firefighters stayed on site to help direct traffic and support ongoing safety measures.”
