This August, Clarks Village in Street is bringing a unique twist to summer fun with “Art and Putt,” a crazy golf experience inspired by some of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Players can enjoy creatively designed holes featuring themes from the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, David Hockney, Frida Kahlo, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Bridget Riley, and Andy Warhol.
Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, reveals his personal challenge: the Warhol-inspired hole featuring the iconic ‘Soup Cans’ design. “I’ve tried multiple times, but it still eludes me,” he says with a laugh. “I’m definitely no Tiger Woods!”
The initiative aims to offer visitors something fresh and vibrant beyond shopping. “Clarks has always been more than just a retail destination,” Chris explains. “We wanted to create an experience that popped—right down to the colors and statues. The response has been fantastic since we opened.”

This creative venture comes on the heels of a remarkable year for Clarks Village, which has seen a 14.2% sales increase overall, including a 9.3% rise in clothing and a 15.1% upswing in health and beauty products.
With deep local roots, Chris reflects fondly on his journey: “I’m proud to be part of Clarks Village again. I grew up nearby in Wells and even bought my first Levi’s here in the mid-nineties. After working in London, Manchester, and Liverpool, it feels like everything has come full circle.”
Art and Putt will be available until the end of August, with each game costing £8 and lasting about 45 minutes. No booking is necessary, making it easy to drop in and enjoy the creative challenge. When asked about a possible return next year, Chris hints at more excitement to come: “If we bring it back, we’d definitely put a fresh twist on it.”
Clarks Village remains open seven days a week, inviting visitors to shop, play, and experience something truly unique this summer.
