Emergency services are currently responding to a large fire that broke out in a field near Pen Elm Hill, North Fitzwarren, Somerset. The blaze was first reported to Devon and Somerset Police at approximately 2pm on Friday, 21 August.
Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that no injuries have been reported. Emergency crews remain at the scene as investigations continue.
Authorities are treating the incident as suspicious and are appealing for witnesses. A spokesperson for the police stated: “We are seeking information following the fire this afternoon. At this early stage, the circumstances surrounding the fire lead us to consider it deliberate.”
