Amy Winehouse’s original band is reuniting for a commemorative concert in Bath to mark 20 years since the release of her iconic album, Back to Black. The Amy Winehouse Band will perform at Bath Forum, bringing the timeless music of the late star back to life.
Leading the group is Dale Davis, Amy’s longtime musical director and bass player, who has been integral to both her tours and recordings. Reflecting on the milestone, Dale said, “I can’t believe that it’s the 20th anniversary of Back to Black this year. When I congratulated Amy on the success of this incredible album, she said to me, not with any arrogance: ‘I knew what I was doing.’ At that moment, I realised she truly understood the masterpiece she created. It remains an honour, pleasure, and privilege to perform these timeless songs.”
Amy Winehouse’s career skyrocketed with her 2003 debut album, Frank, showcasing her eclectic jazz influences at just 18 years old. However, it was her sophomore effort, Back to Black, that cemented her status as a musical phenomenon. The album features unforgettable tracks such as “Rehab,” “You Know I’m No Good,” and the title track, “Back to Black.”

Tragically, Amy passed away at just 27, but she was working on a third album before her death. Some of those unfinished songs were later reimagined in the posthumous release, Lioness: Hidden Treasures.
Fans can experience the unforgettable music live when the Amy Winehouse Band performs for the Back to Black 20th Anniversary Tour on Friday, November 13, in Bath. This special event is a unique opportunity to celebrate the legacy of one of music’s brightest stars.
