An air ambulance made an emergency landing at Butlin’s Minehead late Tuesday night, August 26, to airlift a woman to hospital. The helicopter touched down on the resort grounds at approximately 11:30 p.m. and departed around 12:45 a.m.
Eyewitnesses reported that many guests gathered to watch the dramatic arrival of the helicopter. A spokesperson from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance confirmed that their critical care team, including a doctor and specialist practitioner, attended the incident. The team promptly airlifted the adult female patient to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent medical treatment.
The air ambulance was operated by a pilot and co-pilot, providing expert pre-hospital emergency care. Butlin’s also issued a statement confirming the presence of the air ambulance to assist a guest requiring immediate medical attention and expressed gratitude to the emergency services for their swift response.
