A section of the A359 at Queen Camel will be temporarily closed next week for crucial maintenance work. The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM each day. Outside of these hours, the road will remain open to traffic.
During the closure, a diversion route will be in place using the A303 and A371 to help motorists navigate around the affected area. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works, although some delays may occur to accommodate access vehicles.
Councillor Richard Wilkins, Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Waste Services, commented: “Our team will work quickly and efficiently to complete these repairs. We encourage residents to communicate any access concerns to us. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we improve this vital road.”
