A359 Road Closure Next Week for Essential Repairs

A section of the A359 at Queen Camel will be closed for vital resurfacing work on Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Outside these hours, the road will remain open to traffic.

During the closure, drivers will need to follow a diversion route via the A303 and A371. Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Waste Services, Councillor Richard Wilkins, assured residents that the repair team will work efficiently to minimize disruption. He encouraged local residents to communicate directly with the team if they have any access concerns.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works, though minor delays may occur due to vehicles entering and exiting the site. Queen Camel, a small village located just a few miles south of Sparkford in Somerset, will be directly affected by this temporary closure.
