The A303 in Somerset has been closed in both directions following a serious crash this afternoon (Saturday, November 22). Emergency services, including the air ambulance, are currently at the scene, working to assist those involved.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible due to significant delays. The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours while emergency responders carry out their work.
To help manage traffic, diversion routes have been established: eastbound drivers should follow the hollow circle diversion symbol, while westbound travelers are directed to follow the hollow square diversion symbol.

National Highways confirmed that both carriageways were closed to ensure the safety of all emergency personnel at the scene, adding that any vehicles caught within the initial closure have now been released.
According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the accident occurred between the A359 at Sparkford and the A371 at Lawrence Hill near Wincanton just after 3pm.
Motorists are urged to plan alternative routes and stay informed as the situation develops.
