A motorist has been fined over £2,000 after being caught drink-driving and speeding in Devizes.
On March 9, 2025, at 2:45 pm, Wiltshire Police stopped Jaimee Long, 34, of Dowse Road, Devizes, after observing him driving at 51mph in a 30mph zone in St Edith’s Marsh. Officers suspected Long was under the influence of alcohol.
A breath test confirmed that Long’s blood alcohol concentration was 66 micrograms per 100 milliliters, nearly double the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Further tests in custody verified that he exceeded the drink-driving limit.

At Salisbury Magistrates' Court, Long was found guilty of drink-driving. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £2,166. Additionally, he was ordered to pay court costs and a victim surcharge totaling £1,515.
